For those new on my flist, and don't know my current living situation: on weekdays I live sort of boarding house (where people rent rooms), with my sister -- though the two of us rent different room because we like our privacy -- so I can get slightly close to the office. But on weekends, well, Friday night/Saturday morning, I usually go back to my parents' house.
Last night, however, I ended up going back to the boarding house because my sister begged me. She was having breakdown because she had trouble with her thesis. My sister's biggest problem is when it comes to her education, when she needs to present her hypothesis and writings, and then get challenged by a more authoritative figure, she crumbles and loses her confidence. She begged me to return to the boarding house, so she could talk and well, slept in my room. What can I say, it's the sisterhood thing. I can't really say "no" to her when it comes to my sister having problems :). Even if I want to go back to my parents' so I can get my hand on book #7 of the Psy-Changeling series.
Today, I plan to go with Fitri to visit Ditta and her baby. She had her baby delivered two months ago and we hadn't visited her (hey, I was in China for about 3 weeks!).
Thursday TV talk ...
( Grey's Anatomy: Holidaze )
( The Vampire Diaries: Believe )
FlashForward this week bores me. I prefer the "action" episode, this one fills like a filler and it makes me yawn. CSI, on the other hand, has a VERY good group-scene in the end. They're playing bowling!!! I miss Grissom though *sigh*. I still have Bones and Supernatural to watch. I love Bones, but I prefer to watch TV shows with subtitle (especially for medical and police procedural shows), and unfortunately, subtitle for Bones usually come much later than the other TV shows. Today there will be White Collar too, right?
Oh, and I guess, it means that some shows are now in winter-hiatus until January? I will miss them, of course. BUT, winter hiatus means I can catch up with a couple of shows that I have postponed -- AND Burn Notice and The Closer will be back, right??

Edited to add:
I think there is a component of my (office) notebook that is broken. BUT, I get to use the replacement, albeit not better -- and I can still use the hard disk. First thing I did, back up all the things needed for my work; just in case such thing happens again. Doesn't mean that I will work during weekend though. I have TV episodes to watch and Book #7 of Psy-Changeling series to read :).
By the way, my Internet is being kind for the past two days. Usually, I can only get connection between 60 - 100 Kb/s. On a good day, the best I can get is around 130 Kb/s. But the past two days, I can get 350 - 500 Kb/s!! I know that most of you might get faster connection but to me, that is just awesome!!

I finished "Branded by Fire", book #6 from Psy-Changeling series -- and I guess now, this is my 2nd favorite book from Psy-Changeling series so far.
( so what I think of it )
I left book #7 at my parents' and I won't be home until weekend. So I guess now it's the time to catch up with TV episodes since I put them on bay to finish this book. Yeah, that's how I am loving the book :)

I am currently reading Branded by Fire, book #6 of the Psy-Changeling series by Nalini Singh. I only have about 50 pages to go (it's THAT good, damn it!) and I have something to say in regards to the plot and Hawke, the SnowDancer Alpha. I put it under cut, because I believe, only those who read this series will be interested in reading it
( Psy/Changeling/Human )
I'm totally smitten with this series. The bad side is, once I finish book #6 and I KNOW I will most likely jump to book #7, I will have to wait until 2010 for new books to be published.

I wonder why I still feel hungry even after having proper breakfast and lunch. Even a couple of my co-workers notice I'm gaining weight *sigh*. I hope it's just P.M.S hormones or something -- or maybe after I get back to the routines of working, I might be able to lose 1-2 kilograms due to demand of my job *snark*. Anyway, I am getting back to the routinity of work. I haven't get in the 5th gear yet. But, I have two meetings with clients today. I must get back on track soon because November/December is always one of the busiest times, as clients are trying to close their financial year and order a lot of research projects.
Yes, you will read my posts about work again now that my sabbatical leave is over
I finished my 70th book last night, Hostage by Pleasure by Nalini Singh; it was book #5 of her Psy-Changeling series. And I TRULY loved it. I love Dorian, really, really love him. He's probably my 3rd favorite male characters from this series so far, after Hawke and Judd. I definitely will jump into book #6 a.s.a.p. After watching a couple of MondayTV shows, of course. Most especially Castle
Speak about TV shows, well, short thoughts on last episode's of Brothers & Sisters
( The Wine Festival )
I really like Jack Savoretti's "Harder than Easy" after I listened one of his songs in Grey's Anatomy. I think Grey's Anatomy, Glee, and The Vampire Diaries have the best songs in TV this season.
