OMG!!! Josh Lanyon's 5th and final book of Adrien English Mystery: "The Dark Tide" is FINALLY HERE!!!
It's out and I already bought it. OMG!!! I haven't been this EXCITED over a book since "Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows". DOUBLE SERIOUS!!! Because this is the final book. This is the closure of Adrien and Jake's story. Whatever closure Josh will give the readers. I know that I said I would make "The Girl With Dragon Tattoo as my first priority; but I meant I need to finish this first :). I can't wait to get home and read this. I'm sure I will be engrossed with "The Dark Tide" tonight and tomorrow. So I can still start TGwDT on Christmas Day. Thank God for long weekend.
And
jgraeme2007 even makes a tune list for this book -- which includes "Collide by Howie Day and "Chocolate by Snow Patrol. Sweet choice :)
PS: I forgot to add. I have a VERY BEAUTIFUL dream last night. It involves David Cook :D

It has been raining outside for the past 5 hours *brrr*. Raining in the morning is not something I particularly enjoy in Jakarta. It is easily associated with horrible traffic. In addition, I have two focus group discussions today. I'm worried that this rain will make the respondents reluctant to come. I sure hope not.
On other news, I just found out that Lifehouse has new single!! I can't wait for their album next year. I ♥ Lifehouse.
Book Talk: I'm very much engrossed with Karen Rose's book, "I Can See You". I'm sure I can finish it tonight or tomorrow morning. I have problems with the book prior to this ("Kill For Me"), I stop after page 200 and have yet to continue. My problem with that book is that Karen Rose seems to focus more on the crime (human trafficking) rather than the usual hero and heroine. There too many things happen at the same time, too many characters, including the bad guys, and I have a hard time to keep up. With "I Can See You", even if there are other secondary characters, they don't really take over the story. They're also recurring character from previous books (David Hunter ♥, Tom Hunter, Olivia Sutherland), so it feels like revisiting old friends. I really can't wait to read David and Olivia's story in 2010. It's about darn time David Hunter gets his own woman. He's been broken hearted for way too long. Olivia seems to be a very good match for him. And it's a full circle because David is also best friend with Mia, Olivia's half-sister.
I don't think anybody know what I'm talking about up there *lol*
Oh, next book after this, DEFINITELY "The Girl With Dragon Tattoo". I promised a couple of flist to read this one and I have postponed it long enough. It is already on the top of my to-read list.

It's already Monday and on my to-do list, the first thing is to work on my research report. I plan to give this to the client on the 23rd instead of next week. Therefore, I can enjoy the long weekend this week in peace. Yup, the office is closed from the 24th. So there will be 4-days holiday this week. This is WHY I always love December :p.
I saw a couple of flist recommending Inglorious Basterds. I think I should make that my next to-watch movie. I have the bootleg DVD with me for awhile now, but have yet seen it. Other than that, another flist also recommend the Millennium trilogy by Stieg Larsson . I already have "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo" -- sorry,
alias_jems, I have yet read this! -- considering the amount of good reviews about this book, I should move this on the top of my to-read list. I think after I finish with one of the two e-books I am currently reading, I will grab this one for sure. So, I will have one print book and one e-book to read.
What do you think?
I need food. It's lunch time ...

It's Sunday. I don't want to do anything work related on Sunday. So, I'm not touching my report. Better do it on Monday at the office. Even if that means I have to work it really hard since I want to submit it to my boss by Tuesday at least. I could do it today, I still have the Sunday afternoon. BUT HECK, it's Sunday!! I'm at home. I don't want to think about work ...

I read Josh Lanyon's (
jgraeme2007) interview regarding the future and LAST book of his Adrien English series (coming next week, on the 22nd) and I'm ready to WAIL. It's just not fair that I must say goodbye to the characters that captured my heart just this year (mid year, in fact). I don't know if Adrien and Jake will be together, has a happy ending (because darn it, Josh does NOT give any clue, and he said that he already had their story planned for years). It's so hard saying goodbye to characters that I love very much. I said goodbye to Harry Potter in 2007 and my heart just broke. Or when I know that Dennis Lehane seems to end his Patrick/Angie series in book #5. I'm just glad that some of the series I love are still on-going. I will probably sobbing to for the final book of Harry Dresden or Harry Bosch *sobs*
Any of you EVER say goodbye to characters in a book before (I know that most of you will probably say Harry Potter or Edward, Bella, and Jacob)? How do you feel?
By the way, I also see this on Nalini Singh's website: And in 2011 will come the story of the wolf you've all been waiting for - Hawke. HOLY COW, IT IS CONFIRMED!! Can 2011 be any faster?!? Now I'm biting my nails to read that one!
